‘Skies in Bloom’ — from the collection When We Look Up

When We Look Up is inspired by quiet moments during my daily walks, looking up to the shifting tree canopies and capturing the slow, grounding rhythm of the seasons. These fleeting glimpses of nature’s calm form the essence of this collection.

‘Skies in Bloom’ is painted on cotton canvas, layered with a digital print created from my own photography. Free-motion embroidery traces the delicate forms of the branches, while delicate hand stitching brings a sense of movement, as if a gentle breeze stirs the leaves.

Every brushstroke and thread reflects the fleeting beauty of Spring light — glimpses of colour, texture, and atmosphere unfolding above us.

The artwork is mounted with visible hand-stitched detailing to celebrate the raw edges of the fabric and is framed in a bespoke lime wash wood frame.
