Textile mixed media art
After working as a designer in the fashion industry for many years, I now concentrate on my artwork and teaching others the joy of textile mixed media art.
I love the combination of mixing painting techniques with fabric appliques and embroidery. A painting never feels finished until I have added layers of embroidery.
I love to share these techniques through my tutorials and membership.
A place where I share the inspiration for my work and some of the techniques I use.

I brought a beautiful picture of Ellie’s for a friend who loves the sea. I’ve admired her work for ages and love the mixture of colour and embroidery.
On an otherwise dreary day in Atlanta with everyone home schooling...my positive...this BEAUTIFUL AND HAPPY original painting arrived today. Ellie you are so talented, thank you for the scenery to make us smile.
” Stunning, beautiful art that brings joy and calm amongst the chaos of life today. These will have a special place in our life memories for many years to come. Thank you Ellie, for creating and sharing such beauty”
I bought the most beautiful large cushion from Ellie. Most people might use as a floor cushion but I use it for sitting against when I meditate. It’s brilliant quality materials and the 100% British wool pad is just right as it’s soft but firm for sitting. The colours, attention to detail and little finishing touches make this really special and it makes me happy every time I see it! I will definitely buy more items and have recommended to friends.
The sketchbooks I bought from Ellie are stunning. Her artwork is beautiful and comforting and having it on real fabric on the cover is simply gorgeous. The sketchbook is of a very high quality and has little precious details that make it a little jewel!
I bought a beautiful winter print of Ellie’s. Very high quality reproduction and absolutely has the feel of an original with the stitching with which she handfinishes all her prints. It is a restful and inspiring picture in our home and really conveys that cold crisp winter air. We love it.
I have quite a few of Ellie’s prints now as they are beautiful. I love the colour palette with some beautiful blues, greens and reds that just pop and look great in any room. The added threads woven into the prints really gives it an interesting edge, and the framing is great too!
I did receive the painting and I have to say I love it so much! The blues are so vibrant and the others colours are so soft, it looks so lovely and such depth. I am so happy and so grateful that I could buy such a beautiful piece of your work - thank you.
Thank you so much for my beautiful painting. I have it up on my living room wall and it looks fabulous! Sitting here and looking at it from different positions in my living room and noticing different details of the painting, it’s beautiful. I love the fine threads you have used for the embroidery and leaving the ends free give the piece a real delicate touch. I’m looking forward to your next collection.
We are sure you will be pleased to know that we are delighted with the picture, which arrived safely this morning. . However, we have decided to hang this in the dining room, rather than the bedroom, because we shall get to look at it more there, and others will too. We would like to congratulate you on producing such beautiful and detailed images in such an original way, and wish you continued success with your business.
I just wanted to let you know the painting arrived today and you were right I really love the colours- in the flesh there is so much detail and layering, it really has an intensity of colour that I love. I am so pleased you went into a 'moodier phase'! And its good to have an original piece of your work too. It caught my eye straight away, and the more I looked the more I thought I should treat myself, I am so pleased I did. Its perfect in the blue frame too. Thank you for including the cards, much appreciated. Thanks so much Ellie, I am delighted with my new piece of art work!
‘Evening Light’ looks just right in my dining room, where the setting sun streams in (on good days!) and where I can see the painting constantly as I pass through. The details and depth are fabulous – it reminds me of coastal adventures, bracing walks and breathing in sea air. Brighter days are surely ahead of us and the power of art can help us look forward to those times as the days lengthen. I’m so glad I have this painting in my home – thank you again! ‘
