Landscape Fragments is a collection inspired by the delicate structure of winter branches and the quiet openness of the landscape. Each piece combines painted and embroidered lines with silhouetted tree forms, creating layered compositions that sit between observation and abstraction. ‘Field Study in Stripe Canopy III’ is inspired by the quiet structure of tree canopies and the soft, open landscape beyond. Layered paint, printed imagery, and embroidered lines combine to create a delicate balance between observation and abstraction, with silhouetted branches stretching across calm bands of colour. Machine and hand stitch add texture and rhythm throughout the surface, echoing the intricate patterns found in nature and the stillness of seasonal walks.
