When We Look Up is a collection inspired by quiet moments on my daily walks, gazing into shifting tree canopies and noticing the slow, grounding rhythm of the seasons. These fleeting glimpses of nature’s calm form the essence of each piece.
Beaneath the Summer Canopy captures the richness of the season through abstract painted surfaces, layered with digital prints taken from my own photographs. Machine embroidery traces the silhouettes of branches, while delicate hand stitching brings a sense of movement, as if a gentle breeze stirs the leaves.
Every brushstroke and thread reflects the fleeting beauty of summer light — glimpses of colour, texture, and atmosphere unfolding around us.
