‘White Cliffs’ inspired by the white cliffs along the Sussex coastline

An original painting on cotton canvas using textile paints. Monoprinting with real plants, grasses and seed heads I have found when out walking. The detail within the painting is added with free motion embroidery. The painting  is mounted onto beautiful textured Arches watercolour paper with a torn (deckle) edge. The printing and embroidery reaches out onto the paper,  adding more drama and mood to the painting.

The textile painting is framed in a bespoke white frame with non reflective UV glass
