‘Sussex Coastline Spring Study 1’ based on my many sketches of the Sussex Coastline.

A collection of small paintings on cotton canvas using textile paints. The detail within the painting is added with free motion embroidery using plain thread and metallic silver thread. The painting  is mounted onto beautiful textured Arches watercolour paper with a torn (deckle) edge. The printing and embroidery reaches out onto the paper,  adding movement into the landscape.

The textile painting is framed in a bespoke white frame with non reflective UV glass
