Artist Support Pledge – ‘Stillness’ Original Painting 24cm x 25cm

This painting is taking part in the Artist Support Pledge, a scheme started by British Artist Matthew Burrows.

How Does it Work: The concept is a simple one, I offer to sell my artwork up to the value of £200 (not including P+P). If I am fortunate to reach £1000 in sales I pledge to to buy another artist’s work for £200

‘Stillness’ is inspired by the colours of a still and warm ocean sunset, watching a sunset makes me feel relaxed and thoughtful. These moments creates a sense of calm for me and I want to recreate this feeling within my artwork.

An original painting on cotton canvas using fabric paints and dyes. Mono printing with real plants, grasses and seed heads I have found on beach walks with the family. The detail within the painting is added with free motion embroidery and hand embroidery. Leaving the threads to hang free over the mount, adding texture and movement to the painting.

The textile painting is framed in a bespoke white frame with non reflective glass so you can see the detail of the painting so much clearer.
