‘Still Shores’ is inspired by an evening walk on the beach,  long autumn shadows and the coolness of the night contrasting with the warmth of the sunset.

An original painting on cotton canvas using textile paints with gold and bronze foil to highlight the glow of the sunset. Monoprinting with real plants, grasses and seed heads I have found on walks with the family. The detail within the painting is added with free motion embroidery. The painting  is mounted onto beautiful textured Khadi handmade Indian paper with a torn (deckle) edge. The printing and embroidery reaches out into the paper to add more drama and mood to the painting. Leaving the threads to hang free over the paper, adding texture and movement to the painting.

The textile painting is framed in a bespoke white frame.
