‘Serene’ is inspired by the colours and atmosphere if a warm summers evening on the beach, the shapes of the pebbles and the wild flora that grows by the beaches on the South coast.

The painting and printing reaches out into the mount to add more drama and mood to the painting.

An original painting on cotton canvas using fabric paints and dyes. Monoprinting with real plants, grasses and seed heads I have found on walks with the family. The detail within the painting is added with free motion embroidery and hand embroidery. Leaving the threads to hang free over the mount, adding texture and movement to the painting.

The textile painting is framed in a bespoke white frame with non reflective glass so you can see the detail of the painting so much clearer.
