‘Hope’ Original Painting 21cm x 21cm

‘Hope’ inspired by the Sussex coastline with the new wind farm on the horizon and the changing colours and shadows.

An original painting on cotton canvas using textile paints. Monoprinting with real plants, grasses and seed heads I have found when out walking. The detail within the painting is added with free motion embroidery. The painting  is mounted onto beautiful textured Arches watercolour paper with a torn (deckle) edge. The printing and embroidery reaches out onto the paper,  adding more drama and mood to the painting.

Leaving the threads to hang free over the paper.

The textile painting is framed in a bespoke white frame with non reflective UV glass
