‘Autumn Spirit’ inspired by autumn walks on the South Downs national park

An original painting on cotton canvas using textile paints. Monoprinting with real plants, leaves, grasses and seed heads I have found when out walking. The detail within the painting is added with free motion embroidery with the threads left to hang free in the frame.

The painting  is mounted onto beautiful textured Arches watercolour paper with a torn (deckle) edge and stitched.

The textile painting is framed in a bespoke Oak frame
