‘Calm Before The Storm’ is inspired by the dark and moody colours winter when you can watch the weather changing on the horizon with the soft winter glow that sits on the horizon.

An original painting on cotton canvas using fabric paints and dyes. Mono printing with real plants, grasses and seed heads I have found on beach walks with the family. The detail within the painting is added with free motion embroidery and hand embroidery. Leaving the threads to hang free over the mount, adding texture and movement to the painting.

The textile painting is framed in a bespoke white frame with non reflective glass so you can see the detail of the painting so much clearer.
